Dons boss Karl Robinson has praised his players for the way they have approached a gruelling start to pre-season.
He added: “There’s a bounce in all of our steps at the moment. I think healthy bodies make for healthy minds. We’ve been able to clear our minds of many things and I think the staff have stepped up to the plate once again this summer.”
“They’ve come back fit and strong and hopefully these are things we can take into the season.”
“Their stats are up on last year and that’s purely down to them and how they’ve come back and how they’ve done since then.
“They’ve really knuckled down and worked hard. Their heels have been hitting their bums quite a lot! I’m a very happy and content manager as we stand right now.
“It’s been busy and difficult for the boys, but their attitude and the way they’ve conducted themselves has been magnificent,” he told MK Dons Player.
Robinson’s men are currently being put through their paces in a testing training camp near the Irish capital of Dublin.
