MK Dons face Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday evening in their first friendly against Football League opposition.
The Daggers finished 10th in Sky Bet League 2 last season, just two places below the play-off places, and have been busy this summer recruiting no less than seven players as they look to break into the top six this time around.
Wayne Burnett’s side, which includes former Dons midfielder Luke Howell, have also been involved five friendlies since their return to pre-season and have faced the likes Bromley, Maidestone United and, most recently, Ebbsfleet United.
That clash with Ebbsfleet, which took place this past Saturday, saw the non-League outfit run-out 4-0 victors over a Dagenham side which included a number of trialists.
Team news
Midfielder Darren Potter is set to feature in a limited capacity after being rested for the local double-header last weekend. The 29-year-old is still rehabilitating an Achilles injury suffered back in March but is expected to make a full recovery in time for the season opener against Gillingham.
Elsewhere, Dons boss Robinson will have everyone else available to him, including last season’s Player of the Year Ben Reeves, who featured in the weekend win over Aylesbury having missed the Irish friendlies with a sore hamstring, and striker Will Grigg, who also got minutes in that friendly on Saturday afternoon.
