Although he never featured in Ince’s first-team, Hitchcock did work with Robinson on the odd occasion and in his first interview with MK Dons Player the 21-year-old says that, along with the chance to join an ambitious Football Club, persuaded him to put pen to paper.
He said: “I was out seeing my family (in Spain) and I met Karl for coffee and we had a good chat. I’ve known him since by Blackburn days and when I was younger he looked after me, kind of, so it’s nice to be back working with him.
“This is a massive Club and the stadium is unbelievable,” he continued. “It’s a Club going places, which is one of the reasons why I signed here. I can’t wait to get started.”
