MK Dons announced on Tuesday that striker Tom Hitchcock had joined the club on a three-year deal – news which was well received by supporters on social media.

The 21-year-old, who scored a combined nine goals in 19 games while on loan at Crewe Alexandra and Rotherham United last season, becomes Karl Robinson’s fourth signing of the summer, his first in the striking department.

Hitchcock tweeted: “Looking forward to a new start with #mkdons happy to of signed here can’t wait to get started. Thanks for all the messages much appreciated”
