Reeves enjoyed an excellent first season with the men from MK1 after joining from Southampton on a free transfer, scoring 11 goals in 35 appearances. His stand-out showings also saw him pick up four gongs at the End of Season Awards, including Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.

Speaking to MK Dons Player after signing his deal, Reeves said: “I saw last season what a great club this is and how successful it can be.

“Personally, last season was good but I know I can play a lot better. I’m just really excited about the new season. This is my first pre-season in two years so I will hopefully be fit from day one.

“I’m thankful to the fans for accepting me so quickly and the way they supported me throughout last year. They were brilliant with me and it made it so much easier to settle down.”

Reeves moved to stadiummk in July 2013 after two years as a professional with Hampshire-outfit Southampton.

The 22-year-old midfielder scored on his full debut for the Dons in the Capital One Cup victory over Northampton Town before establishing himself in the ‘number 10’ role.

As well as his impressive performances, Reeves contributed a number of superb goals including the second in the 2-0 win over Wolves and the stunning equaliser against Stevenage, the latter of which was named the Dons’ Goal of the Season for 2013/14.

Dons boss Karl Robinson said: “We’re very fortunate to have secured Ben’s services for the next two years. It’s great news for the Football Club.

“We took up the option but I wasn’t going to let his contract run out. The fact Ben is willing to sign a contract with us is great news for us all too.

“He’s got all the technical components to play at the top level. The sky is the limit for Reevesy and I’m looking forward to working with him once again.”
