Richard Clark has been appointed match referee for MK Dons’ trip to Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday evening.
The Northumberland FA official has been involved in the Football League for two seasons having made the step up from the Conference in August 2012. Clark’s first Football League appointment was a 1-1 draw between Chesterfield and Rochdale.
Although Clark has yet to referee a match involving the Dons he has taken charge of Crewe Alexandra on one occasion. Back in February 2013, Clark booked two players in the Railwaymen’s 2-1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth at Alexandra Stadium.
So far in 2013/14, Clark has marshalled 20 games, six of which have come in Sky Bet League 1. Clark has brandished 63 yellow and seven red cards in his appointments this season.
Clark’s last fixture saw him book five players in Notts County’s 3-0 win over Bradford City on New Year’s Day.
