Ref Watch: Carlisle United

David Coote has been appointed match referee for MK Dons’ trip to Carlisle United on Tuesday evening.

In total, Coote has refereed the Dons on three occasions and has shown a total of 12 yellow cards. Coote, who last took charge of the men from MK1 in August for the Capital One Cup tie with Sunderland, has yet to produce a red card in a Dons fixture.

So far this season, Coote has shown a total of 66 yellows in his 22 games while only sending off two players; he showed Peterborough United’s Sean Brisley a second yellow card in their defeat against Walsall in November after giving Bournemouth goalkeeper Ryan Allsop his marching orders against Leeds in October.

Coote was last in action on January 21st when he took charge of Charlton Athletic’s 3-0 FA Cup with Budweiser victory over Oxford United.
