Ryan: Over the moon

6 February 2014

Winger Ryan Hall has spoken of his delight at signing a short-term deal with MK Dons and admits he can’t wait to get started.

after three months without a Football Club, following his release from Leeds United in November.joined the Dons on Tuesday nightHall, 26,

The former England C international, who in 2011/12 led the country in assists, had been training with Championship side Blackpool in recent weeks but admits that once he heard of Karl Robinson’s interest, he knew exactly where he wanted to go.

Speaking to MK Dons Player Hall said: “I’ve been at Blackpool training for the last two weeks and they put something on the table but it didn’t meet the requirements of me and my family.

“I then got a call on (Monday) morning telling me not to sign anything at Blackpool because MK Dons were interested. I met the manager a service station on the M25 late (Monday) night and he sold me a dream which I want to be involved in.

“Now I can’t wait to get started, I’m over the moon to be here. I’ve been out for a bit so I need to get myself back fit and get back to that match sharpness and then hopefully I can start showing people what I can do.

“I don’t mind where I play across that front four, as long as I’m able to go forward with the ball. I like to get balls in the box and hopefully I can score a load of goals too.”

Before finalising his move to stadiummk, Hall admits to seeking some advice from his cousin Jason Puncheon, who MK Dons supporters will remember fondly for his time in Milton Keynes.

“Jason Puncheon gave me a call and told me to come here, get my head down, show everyone what I can do and get back to where I should be.

“I’ll let everyone be the judge of (my performances) but I hope to show everyone what I can do on the pitch very soon.”
