Mark Heywood will take charge of MK Dons’ Sky Bet League 1 clash with Preston North End on Tuesday evening.
The Cheshire FA official has been refereeing in the Football League since 2011 but has only overseen one match involving the Dons in his three-year career.
That solitary appointment came back in March 2012 when Karl Robinson’s side lost 2-1 to Carlisle United at stadiummk. Heywood booked two players that evening while also awarding two penalties.
So far this season, Heywood has taken charge of 20 fixtures including four Sky Bet League 1 matches. Heywood has booked a total of 63 players but has only sent off two.
Heywood’s last appointment came earlier this month when he refereed Carlisle’s 2-1 home defeat to Gillingham. Heywood showed just two yellow cards that afternoon.
The full list of officials for the fixture are as follows:
Referee: Mark Heywood (Cheshire)
Assistant Referees: Graham Kane (East Sussex) and Barry Holderness (Essex)
Fourth Official: Robert Hyde (London)
