Young Don Danny Collinge helped England Under-16s to two wins out of three at the UEFA Development Tournament.

Collinge, 14, took his England cap total to seven at the friendly tournament, which took place behind-closed-doors at St. George’s Park over the last seven days.

The young defender started England’s first match against Spain last Sunday, but couldn’t prevent them suffering a 3-1 defeat.

However, Collinge and his Young Lion team-mates bounced back in emphatic style on Tuesday with a 4-1 victory over Denmark. Collinge captained England during the second half, helping to lead the team over the line and secure their first win of the 2014.

England’s final match at the tournament took place earlier this afternoon, with Belgium the opposition. Collinge started the game on the bench but came on as a half-time substitute and provided some last ditch defending to help secure a 3-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Dele Alli and Brendan Galloway are preparing to meet up with England Under-18s next month for a double-header against Croatia at St. George’s Park.

First-year scholar Giorgio Rasulo is also in international action in March, as part of the England Under-17s squad travelling out to Portugal for the Algarve Tournament.
