Goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin will remain at Newport County until the end of the season.
He provided cover for the injured David Martin earlier in the campaign, making 14 appearances from the start of the season up until the beginning of December.
The extension offers the 22-year-old the chance to play in the Exiles’ final five fixtures, which will see them come up against Wycombe Wanderers, AFC Wimbledon, Burton Albion, York City and Rochdale.
