Izale McLeod was made up to score the winner on his return in Saturday’s 2-1 success over Coventry City.
McLeod, who missed the Wolves clash with a calf problem, found the net inside 60 seconds of coming as a second-half substitute courtesy of a fine lob.
He said: “It was nice just to get back out on the pitch after I was injured.
“I try and make those runs over the top. Giorgio (Rasulo) played a really good ball in to me and I just had to take a good touch.
“When I saw the keeper come out, I wouldn’t say it was easy, but it was relatively simple to lift it over the top.
“I’m pleased to score any type of goal - if it bounces in off my knee I’ll be happy! Thankfully I got a good one and we got the win.”
McLeod’s strike sealed a fifth straight away win and the experienced striker wants to take that form into games at stadiummk, starting with Saturday’s Family Fun Day against Crawley Town.
He said: “Away from home, teams have to come at us more and we can find space.
“At home, the onus is on us and teams sit back and counter attack. But it won’t last long. We’ve got a few more games at home and we’ll put it right.”
