Hickford's Clarets claim crucial win

9 April 2014

Young defender Harry Hickford helped Chelmsford City to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Basingstoke Town on Tuesday night.

Dons’ Head Apprentice played the full 90 minutes for the third game in a row since joining the Skrill Conference South side at the end of last month.
The injury-time win moved the Clarets out of the bottom three ahead of their clash at Bishop’s Stortford on Thursday evening.
Hickford, who is in his first spell away from

, made his debut in their goalless draw with Havant & Waterlooville, before appearing in the 4-3 defeat at the hands of Boreham Wood.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin couldn’t prevent Newport County going down 2-1 at home to Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League 2.
Last but not least, Luke Chadwick will be looking to build on his first goal for Cambridge United at the weekend when they take on Woking in the Skrill Conference Premier on Thursday night, while Tom Flanagan’s loan club Stevenage are not in action until Saturday.
