Danny’s England U16s finish second

21 April 2014

Danny Collinge started his second successive game for England Under-16s as they edged out Portugal in their final group match of the Montaigu Tournament.

Collinge, who came off the bench in England’s first group clash before starting Thursday’s date with South Korea, played his part as the Young Lions climbed to second in Group B with a 1-0 victory at Chateau d’Olonne.

Liverpool midfielder Adam Phillips got the last-minute winner for Kenny Swain’s side, who will face France in the third/fourth-place play-off on Monday.

Dons’ young defender Collinge will be hoping to earn his 10th international cap in that game, which takes place in Rue du Mondial.
