Chadwick scores in Cambridge win

11 April 2014

Luke Chadwick was on target in Cambridge United’s 3-0 win over Woking in the Skrill Conference Premier on Thursday night.

Ian McLoughlin – Newport County v Wycombe Wanderers
Harry Hickford – Chelmsford City v Eastleigh
Tom Flanagan – Stevenage v Colchester United
Luke Chadwick – Cambridge United v Hyde

All four loanees could be in action on Saturday:

Hickford again played the full 90 minutes, the fourth time he has done that since joining in early March as he looks to gain some valuable first-team experience.

Mark Hughes struck in the fifth minute of injury-time to earn a 1-1 draw and make it four points from two games, following Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Baskingstoke Town.

Another Don in action on Thursday was young defender Harry Hickford, who helped Chelmsford City to a vital point at Bishop’s Stortford in the Skrill South.

The goal, a smart finish inside the box, was Chadwick’s second since arriving at the Abbey Stadium in the middle of March.

As well as scoring the U’s second, the playmaker had a hand in both the promotion-chasing side’s first and third goals at the Kingfield Stadium.
