Karl Robinson hands Danny Green his MK Dons debut just 24 hours after he joined the Club on loan for a month.

The Charlton Athletic winger sealed an emergency switch to stadiummk late last night, Deadline Day, and goes straight into the starting XI alongside Alan Smith and Jason Banton in an attacking trio behind striker Patrick Bamford.

Green, and Smith, are two of six changes made by boss Robinson, who also includes Ian McLoughlin, Jon Otsemobor, Ben Reeves and Dele Alli in his line-up. McLoughlin starts in goal, Otsemobor will play at right-back and Ben Reeves and Dele Alli are the Dons’ centre-midfield duo.

Bamford, Banton, Antony Kay, Shaun Williams and Dean Lewington are the only five survivors from Saturday’s win over Sheffield United.

While Robinson will be hoping his starting XI will be enough to see off Northampton Town, he does have a youthful bench to call upon if needed with Luke Chadwick, George Baldock, Brendan Galloway, Giorgio Rasulo and Samir Carruthers all amongst the replacements.

Missing for the Dons are injured trio Dean Bowditch, Daniel Powell and Tom Flanagan, Lee Hodson, who is on international duty with Northern Ireland and midfielder Darren Potter, who has been excused due to personal reasons. Stephen Gleeson, David Martin and Izale McLeod are all rested.
