MK Dons supporters can have their picture taken with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy from 2pm this afternoon, ahead of tonight’s match.
This evening’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Round 1 tie between the Dons and Northampton Town is the Football Club’s 500th competitive fixture and, as a way of marking the occasion, Johnstone’s Paint have kindly agreed to bring the trophy to Milton Keynes for the day.
From 2pm the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, the same trophy Keith Andrews and co. lifted back in 2008, will be on show for pictures at the Johnstone’s Decorating Centre in Milton Keynes. There will also be a chance to win a replica Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match ball during the event which takes place until 5pm at the Decorating Centre at Drew Court, Bletchley Motorist Trade Outlet Centre on Watling Street, West Granby, MK6 4AE.
If you can’t make it this afternoon, don’t worry because from 6pm until 7pm, the same trophy will be displayed in the MK Dons Club Superstore at stadiummk, where supporters will again have the chance to take their pictures with it.
The fun doesn’t stop there, though, as at half-time tonight one MK Dons supporter and one Northampton Town supporter will go head-to-head and take part in the Paint Pot Challenge – a unique test of accuracy – on the pitch at half time.
Johnstone’s Paint will also be donating a small prize to the 500th person through each of the four open Gates at this evening.
As well as all that, there’s a football match to be played with Karl Robinson’s side keen to maintain their unbeaten home record and progress to the second round of the competition at the expense of their local rivals, the Cobblers.
Tickets for the game available to buy from the MK Dons Box Office at stadiummk and the kiosk at thecentre:mk right up until kick-off today.
