Luke Chadwick is hoping he and his team-mates can build on their recent run of form and extend the side’s unbeaten run even further this Saturday.
The Dons come into this weekend’s game against bottom-of-the-table Notts County having not lost a League match all season. Back in 2011/12, the Dons were unbeaten after their first six League games of the campaign, a Club record at the start of a season, before they lost to Sheffield Wednesday in September.
Therefore, if Karl Robinson’s men can avoid defeat this Saturday at stadiummk they will break the Club’s current record, something talisman Chadwick is keen to do.
Speaking to MK Dons Player ahead of the match, the 32-year-old said: “We’re still unbeaten in the League which is great. We’d have liked a few more wins but confidence is high, training is good and everyone’s buzzing ahead of another game on Saturday.
“Long may it continue us not getting beat, and hopefully we can pick up a few more wins I’m sure we’ll be right up there.
“The squad is really strong this year and we’ve got players on the bench, now, that are just as good as the players who are playing. Whoever the manager picks we’re confident we can go out and get three points.
“Patrick’s on fire this season which has been great for us. We’ve also got a lot of creative players in Jason, Samir, Dele and Greeny, so we’ve got players who can make things happen and I’m sure we’ll get plenty of goals from it.”
Unlike the Dons, Notts County have lost all-but-one of their opening fixtures and are without a win so far in 2013/14. Chadwick, though, isn’t expecting an easy ride but is still confident the men from MK1 can come out on top.
“It’ll be a tough game. Every game’s tough in this League and we treat every team with the same respect. (Notts County) are a difficult team to break down, like a lot of teut I’m sure if we play to our potential we can get a win.”
