Karl Robinson is forced into making two changes to the side which beat Stevenage 4-1 last Saturday.
With both Antony Kay and Dele Alli ruled out through injury, Tom Flanagan and Samir Carruthers are brought into the starting XI, the former for the first time in the League this season.
Flanagan, who spent time on loan with this afternoon's opponents Gillingham last season, will partner Shaun Williams in the centre of the Dons' defence with Lee Hodson and Dean Lewington in the two full-back positions.
Stephen Gleeson and Darren Potter are the midfield duo behind an attacking trio of Danny Green, Luke Chadwick and Carruthers while Patrick Bamford is the lone striker up top. Green is playing in the final game of his loan spell and will return to Charlton after the match.
On the bench for the Dons are Ian McLoughlin, Jon Otsemobor, Alan Smith, Ben Reeves, Izale McLeod, Jason Banton and Daniel Powell, who made his first appearance of the season last weekend.
Dean Bowditch (hip), Antony Kay (hip), Dele Alli (ankle) all miss out along with George Baldock, who picked up an injury in training this week.
