Rotherham United may have suffered a heavy defeat in League 1 last week but Dons boss Karl Robinson is paying no attention to their last result.
Steve Evans’ side were defeated 4-0 at home by Swindon Town last Saturday, a result which will have left the Millers licking their wounds all week. The Dons too were beaten a week ago by League leaders Leyton Orient.
Prior to their loss to Swindon, Rotherham had been in excellent form since gaining promotion from League 2 and Robinson expects they will continue to be a force to be reckoned with this season.
Speaking to the media ahead of tomorrow’s game, Robinson said: “Their squad is very strong and deep in resources. You can’t judge their season on just last Saturday.
“When we finished our game I asked what the score was at Rotherham and when I heard the result it came as a complete shock and it will be another shock if they don’t come here trying to turn that around on Saturday.
“They play with 100 per cent work ethic, they have some talented players in their team; Craig Morgan who we know well from his time in Milton Keynes, Lee Frecklington, Ben Pringle, Alex Revell, Daniel Nardiello has always scored goals wherever he goes. The quality their team possesses is very good and that is without mentioning Tubbs who has been on the bench.
“We are not using their result against Swindon as a motivation for us, our motivation is knowing this is a quality team that are coming to stadiummk. Some of their players won’t have played here before so it is a new challenge for them and I don’t think their manager has been in the opposition dug-out before so he will want to come here and get a result.
“We want to make sure we are strong and put in a good performance because this is our home, this is our arena.”
