Ref Watch: Leyton Orient

10 October 2013

Iain Williamson will be the man in the middle for MK Dons’ trip to Leyton Orient this weekend.

Berkshire-based Williamson has been refereeing since 2003 and has spent most of his time officiating in the Football League.

During his time in the League, Williamson has overseen eight games involving the Dons, showing 24 yellow cards and one red card in those matches. Williamson’s solitary red card came in last season’s League 1 opener against Oldham Athletic, where defender Antony Kay was sent off after the final whistle for an altercation with an Oldham player.

So far this season, Williamson has taken charge of six games and shown 18 yellow cards but he has yet to brandish a red.

Williamson’s last appointment came in the week, as he refereed Portsmouth’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory over Oxford United at The Kassam Stadium. Williamson booked five players in that game.

The full list of officials for Saturday’s game is as follows:
Referee: Iain Williamson (Berkshire)
Assistant referees: William Bull (Hampshire) and Barry Holderness (Essex)
