MK Dons can today announce a new Club partnership, as they collaborate for the first time with fashion retailer Thackerays.
Three Counties based Thackerays will supply the first team with their pre-match clothing, which includes Hugo Boss Trousers and John Smedley knitwear.
With many of the Dons players already shopping at the store, store manager Muz Murad was first introduced to the opportunity by MK Dons manager, Karl Robinson.
The association enables Thackerays, who also have stores in Northampton and Nottingham, to not only deliver high quality and stylish clothing to the Dons but also extend their brand into Milton Keynes.
Managing Director Paul Richards told mkdons.com: “We are very excited to begin our partnership with MK Dons. It’s a great opportunity to raise the Thackeray’s profile while supporting such a dynamic team and we look forward to welcoming the players into store.
“As an independent business, we are often looking for exciting ways to reach out to the local community and with MK Dons continual growth as a club in both performance and fan base, our involvement offers very promising prospects for both parties.”
Thackerays was established over 40 years ago in Northampton with the aim of offering exciting yet affordable fashion brands alongside exceptional customer service.
Some of their in-store big brand names include Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss and Stone Island, they also recently opened a store in Nottingham.
James Parkinson, Head of Partnerships at MK Dons added: “The partnership with Thackerays is a first for the Club. We value local companies and we always look to find the best in their field. With their history, the expertise, and their passion, Thackerays were the perfect choice as partners.”
