FC Halifax Town await Dons

27 October 2013

MK Dons will start their FA Cup with Budweiser campaign at home to FC Halifax Town.

The Dons reached the Fifth Round of the Cup last season and will have to negotiate their way past Skrill Premier side FC Halifax Town, who are currently in 11th place in the table.

Neil Aspin's side recorded their first away win of the season yesterday as they beat Nuneaton 2-0 to book their place in the First Round Proper.

Last season the Dons were drawn against Cambridge City at the same stage in the competition and were forced into a replay at stadiummk after the non-League side held them to a goalless draw. Karl Robinson’s men, however, went on to brush aside City before beating AFC Wimbledon and Sheffield Wednesday before their giant-killing display at Loftus Road, when they beat Queens Park Rangers 4-2.

The men from MK1 reached the last 16 for the first time but their heroic campaign was ended at that stage when Barnsley took the honours at stadiummk.

The Dons will be hoping for another incredible FA Cup campaign this season. The tie is due to be played the weekend of November 9/10.

Confirmation of the date, kick-off and ticket prices will be available on in due course.
