Kevin Danso came off the bench for the Austrian Under-16s but could not prevent the side from falling to a 2-0 defeat to Denmark.
The MK Dons schoolboy linked up with his team-mates at the weekend and was named on the bench for the first of two friendlies. The young midfielder was introduced in the 41st minute with Austria already trailing their hosts thanks to a goal from Nikolai Laursen in the 13th minute.
After the break the Danes continued to dominate the match and were rewarded with a second goal through Emil Jakobsen just before the hour-mark.
Danso and his team-mates will have a chance to make amends on Thursday when the play Denmark once again.
Danso is the only member of the current Austria Under-16s squad to play their football in England and one of only three to play outside of Austria.
