Schools will also be able to earn special rewards based on the number of tickets ordered by pupils. Every school selling 75 tickets or more will qualify for a visit to their school by an MK Dons player and the top three schools will receive a group visit from members of the MK Dons first team squad. There will also be a main prize for the winning senior and junior school.

Every ticket sold by schools, will earn points towards the MK Dons Group Tickets Reward scheme. MK Dons season ticket holders and others buying tickets for the MK Dons versus Bradford game will be invited to complete a voucher available from the MK Dons Box Office, which will allow them to nominate a school who will qualify for a further point towards the reward schemes to give schools further opportunities to add to their rewards total.

Chairman Pete Winkelman said: “We are delighted to have the Big Schools Day on our fixture programme this season. We are a family-oriented Football Club with over 30 per cent of our season ticket holder under the age of 21.

“This deal allows all of the local schools and kids, who are both the future supporters and perhaps players at MK Dons, to enjoy live football at an affordable price and in a safe and secure environment at stadiummk.”

Teachers from the schools in the region were invited to attend last week’s win over Stevenage at stadiummk and were treated to a presentation by Pete Winkelman ahead of the match.
