Young midfielder Dele Alli starts for the first time since September, having recovered from a foot injury.

Alli, 17, has been out of action since limping off in the 4-1 win over Stevenage two months ago but will take up a place on the right-hand side of an attacking trio this afternoon, alongside Daniel Powell and new England Under-21 international Patrick Bamford. Izale McLeod will be the lone striker.

Elsewhere, the Dons remain unchanged with goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin continuing between the sticks in place of the injured David Martin and Stephen Gleeson and Darren Potter remaining as the two central midfielders.

Lee Hodson, Jordan Spence, Shaun Williams and Dean Lewington make up the Dons’ back four; Spence playing the final game of his one-month loan spell from West Ham United.

On the bench for Karl Robinson this afternoon are Tom Flanagan, Alan Smith, Ben Reeves, George Baldock, Samir Carruthers, Jason Banton and Under-18s goalkeeper Charlie Burns.

MK Dons (4-2-3-1): McLoughlin; Hodson, Spence, Williams, Lewington (c); Potter, Gleeson; Powell, Bamford, Alli; McLeod.

Subs: Burns (GK), Flanagan, Smith, Reeves, Baldock, Banton, Carruthers.

Bradford City: McLaughlin, Darby, Meredith, Reid, Kennedy, Hanson, Thompson, Jones (c), Wells, Bates, McArdle.
