MK Dons forward Alan Smith went back to college on Thursday afternoon to help young budding writers in their quest to become trained journalists.
The former England and Manchester United striker took time out of his schedule to sit in front of students at Milton Keynes College and answer an array of questions ranging from his thoughts on MK Dons’ promotion hopes to why males from Yorkshire are not classed as romantic!
Alan spent an hour-and-a-half listening to the students’ questions and provided in-depth, thought-provoking and often amusing answers.
In that time the 33-year-old revealed his ambition to play football for as long as possible, reminisced about his time at his boyhood favourites Leeds United, praised Sir Alex Ferguson for his commitment to players and admitted he would have loved to have been a motorbike rider if he hadn’t been a professional footballer.
The media session will help the students form part of their coursework this term and was the latest link-up between the Football Club and the College.
