Darren Bond will take charge of MK Dons’ FA Cup with Budweiser First Round clash with FC Halifax Town this weekend.
Bond, in only his second season as a Football League official, will referee the Dons for the second time on Saturday having overseen the side’s goalless draw with Crawley Town in April last season.
That night at stadiummk Bond brandished just two yellow cards, one of which was shown to then-Dons defender Adam Chicksen.
Bond has officiated just three FA Cup with Budweiser ties before, the most recent one being Carlisle United’s 4-2 victory over Ebbsfleet in 2012/13. Bond has booked a total of seven players in the three FA Cup with Budweiser games he’s been involved in.
This season, Bond has refereed nine games, shown 32 yellow cards and produced two red cards. Bond’s first sending off came in his first appointment of the season, a Sky Bet League 2 clash between Bury and Accrington Stanley, with his last in Peterborough United’s 2-0 loss to Crawley Town.
Bond’s most recent fixture, Port Vale’s 2-1 win over Gillingham two weeks ago, saw him not produce a single card.
