Ref Watch: Colchester United

25 November 2013

Tim Robinson will take charge of MK Dons’ Sky Bet League 1 clash with Colchester United tomorrow evening.

Robinson, who is three months into his second year as a Football League official, has only refereed the Dons once before; last season’s 2-1 loss to Crewe Alexandra in March.

That evening, Robinson booked four players and sent off Dons defender Antony Kay for two bookable offences. Darren Potter and Chris Lines were the other two Dons players who were carded on that frustrating night in Cheshire.

The West Sussex-based official has overseen 12 games so far this season, showing a total of 42 yellow cards in the process. Robinson has also sent off two players in 2013/14 including Port Vale defender Daniel Jones after just 20 minutes.

Robinson’s last appointment was this past weekend’s goalless draw between Crawley Town and Walsall. Robinson booked three players that afternoon, two of which on the away side.

The full list of officials for Saturday’s game is as follows:
Referee: Tim Robinson (West Sussex)
Assistant Referees: Darren Blunden (Kent) and Adrian Sannerude (Suffolk)
Fourth Official: Carl Fitch (Suffolk)
