Preview: FA Youth Cup

5 November 2013

MK Dons Under-18s begin their FA Youth Cup campaign tomorrow evening away at Hereford United; kick-off 7.30pm.

Mike Dove’s side travel to Edgar Street looking to make it through to the Second Round Proper for the second season in a row having seen off the Bulls comfortably in last year’s competition.

The Young Dons ran out 6-0 winners that night in November 2012, courtesy of a brace from Mo Ahmed and goals from Will Summerfield, Jon Osae and Giorgio Rasulo. Dove’s boys were eventually knocked out by Stevenage in the Second Round.

Hereford United, meanwhile, booked their place in this stage of the competition with a convincing 5-2 victory over Atherstone Town in the Third Qualifying Round two weeks ago. Jamie Gregory, Callum Brennan, Tom Brock and Jarrod Bowen were the goal-scorers for United.

The winner of tomorrow’s game will face a difficult trip to either Chester or Chesterfield, who play for a place in the Second Round Proper on Thursday.

Tickets for this game will be available to buy on the night at Edgar Street. Admission will be through Addison’s Bar, located past the Main Reception.

Tickets are priced as follows:
Adults: £5
Concessions: £2
