Players to Don poppies

MK Dons will be showing their support to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal this Saturday by wearing poppies on the shirts against Walsall.

As part of the Club’s annual Armed Forces Big Day every squad shirt will have a poppy embossed onto the shirts for the fixture. The shirts will then be donated to RAF Benevolent Fund, the RAF’s leading welfare charity, and various other Forces organisations, who will participate in the half-time parade on the day.
 
One of the match shirts will be auctioned off after the match on clubRed to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund, while MK Dons will run special competitions for two remaining shirts.

As part of the Armed Forces Big Day there will be a guard of honour pre-match and RAF Benevolent’s mascot Ben the Elephant will walk out with the matchball. At half-time 162 members of the Armed Forces will embark on a parade around the stadiummk pitch and the salute will be received by Air Marshal Sir Colin Terry..

The parade will include the following: 1 Signal Squadron, 7th Rifles, The Royal Green Jackets, Ben Elephant from RAF Benevolent Fund, Bucks ACF, Bletchley Park Air Cadets, Fishermead Residents’ Association, Help 4 Heroes, Help 4 Heroes Bear, MKDSA, Royal British Legion Riders, RBL Bletchley Women's Section, Royal British Legion - Leighton Buzzard, Royal British Legion - New Bradwell Women's Section, Royal British Legion - New Bradwell, Royal British Legion - Newport Pagnell, Royal Naval Association, MK Sea Cadets, Ton Class, TRBL Bletchley Branch, TRBL Jubilee, Wolverton Town Band.

Walsall Armed Forces Supporters, Defence Discount Service, RAF Henlow, RAF Halton, Sabre and SSAFA will also be represented at stadiummk on Saturday.

All serving members of the Armed Forces are able to snap up their ticket to the game for free while their friends and families, along with veterans and cadets, can also attend the match for just £10 for adults and £3 for under-18s.

More than 300 tickets have already been snapped up by the Armed Forces.
