Duo agree loan moves

28 November 2013

MK Dons have this afternoon agreed for Izale McLeod and Jon Otsemobor to go out on loan, subject to Football League clearance.

McLeod will join League 2 side Northampton Town while Otsemobor is set to link-up with Tranmere Rovers, both deals will run until 5th January 2014.

The paper work went through prior to the loan window closing this afternoon at 5pm. The loan window will re-open, along with the transfer window, on January 1st 2014.

McLeod makes the switch to Sixfields where he will join up with his former Dons team-mates Clive Platt and Mathias Kouo-Doumbe as Northampton aim to claw themselves away from the bottom for the table.

The striker re-signed for the Dons after five-and-a-half years away in January this year, however, the fairytale move hasn’t quite lived up to expectation with the 29-year old featuring just 24 times, of which 10 have been starts, and scored five goals.

Meanwhile, Otsemobor will reunite with Ryan Lowe at Prenton Park in a move that sees him return closer to his Merseyside home.

The Liverpudlian full-back has seen first team opportunities limited with just 12 appearances for the Dons this season. The 30-year-old has not been involved in the Dons’ previous two matchday squads and heads to Ronnie Moore’s team looking for important match minutes.
