Academy duo Giorgio Rasulo and Hugo Logan have been called-up to the England Under-16 squad for the forthcoming Nordics Tournament.
The annual competition, which takes place in August, sees the Young Lions compete against three other nations in their group before a final game against an opposing team in the other group.
Rasulo, 16, has featured regularly for the Under-16s since earning his first cap back in November. The talented forward, who made his professional debut for the Club on the final day of this season, has scored three goals already for Kenny Swain’s side, his first coming in the closing minutes of the Victory Shield final against Scotland.
This will, though, be Logan’s first time with his national side, having done enough to impress the national selectors with his performances for the Dons this season. The 14-year-old will be the youngest member of the squad travelling out for the tournament.
Rasulo and Logan follow in the footsteps of Dele Alli and Brendan Galloway, who both represented England at last year’s tournament.
mkdons.com will have the latest on how the two youngsters get on in August.
