Sheffield United team news

9 March 2013

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson makes only one change to his starting XI for the clash with Sheffield United this afternoon.

That one change sees the Alan Smith, who has missed the last four games through suspension, come into the side to replace the injured Luke Chadwick in the trequartista role of an attacking trio.

Smith will line-up in between Daniel Powell and Dean Bowditch, while Ryan Lowe will once again start as the lone striker. Adam Chicksen continues at right-back despite Jon Otsemobor’s return from illness.

David Martin is once again deemed unfit to play, which allows Ian McLoughlin to make his eighth Dons appearance while there is a place on the bench for the returning Stephen Gleeson, who marked his comeback with a goal in mid-week.

Also amongst the replacements is loanee Patrick Bamford, who returned to training with the Dons this week after completing his rehabilitation from an injury with parent club Chelsea. He joins Mathias Kouo-Doumbe, Izale McLeod, Tom Flanagan and George Baldock in the dugout.

Sheffield United: Long, Maguire, Hill, Flynn, Doyle (c), McDonald, Kitson, Collins, Robson, Murphy, McMahon.

Subs: Coyne (GK), Westlake, Higginbotham, Forte, Poleon, Ironside, McFadzean.

MK Dons (4-2-3-1): McLoughlin; Chicksen, Kay, Williams, Lewington (c); Potter, Lines; Powell, Smith, Bowditch; Lowe.
