Carl Boyeson will be the referee for this Saturday’s clash between MK Dons and Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The 41-year-old has been officiating in the Football League since 2002 and has overseen six games involving the Dons. In them six matches, Boyeson has shown 17 yellow cards but only four of them to Dons players.
Boyeson however did send off Sean O’Hanlon after two bookable offences in a 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in February 2011. Luke Chadwick and Shaun Williams have both been shown yellow cards by the experienced referee.
This season, the East Yorkshire-based umpire has taken charge of 27 games, one of which was Karl Robinson’s side’s 1-0 win over Yeovil Town at stadiummk earlier in September. In total, Boyeson has booked 60 people this campaign but has only brandished the red card twice.
His last appointment was this past Tuesday, when he refereed the 1-1 draw between Burnley and Barnsley at Turf Moor. Boyeson booked three players that evening.
