MK Dons will travel to Plymouth Argyle in late July for a pre-season friendly with the League 2 outfit.
On Sunday 21st July, Karl Robinson’s side will take on Argyle at Home Park in what will be their first pre-season friendly against Football League opposition in 2013/14.
The Pilgrims finished 21st in League 2 last season but will be keen to bounce back this upcoming season under the guidance of their new manager John Sheridan.
This will be the first time since 2011 the two teams have met, with the last game finishing 1-0 to a then-Peter Reid led Plymouth. Nowadays, the Argyle squad includes the likes of experienced defender Anthony Charles, striker Isaac Vassell, nephew of former England striker Darius, while the club are also looking to secure the services of Yeovil Town's talented forward Reuben Reid on loan until the end of the season.
The Argyle completes the Dons' pre-season fixtures on home soil, following a fitness camp in the Republic of Ireland, and will take place after the trio of local fixtures against Newport Pagnell Town, Leighton Town and Brackley Town.
The trip to Devon comes six days before the Dons visit Barnet at their new stadium, the Hive, and just two days prior to the exciting clash with La Liga side Rayo Vallecano at stadiummk.
Ticket details will be announced in due course. For a full list of pre-season friendlies click here or visit the Box Office at stadiummk or thecentre:mk.
