2013/14 League 1 fixtures announced

MK Dons will start their 2013/14 League 1 season away to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday 3rd August.

Supporters won’t have to wait too long to visit London Road next season, with the Dons travelling to Peterborough United on Saturday 21st September. The return match against Darren Ferguson’s side will take place at MK1 on Saturday 15th March.

The first derby with Stevenage also takes place in September, with the Boro making the journey to stadiummk on Saturday 28th September; the Dons will then visit Broadhall Way on Saturday 22nd March.

In December, the Dons will make the highly-anticipated journey to Molineux Stadium to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers (Saturday 14th) with the return match scheduled for Saturday 29th March.

Boxing Day will then see Karl Robinson’s men travel to Crawley Town, a match which is followed by a short journey to Brentford on Saturday 29th December. The Dons will then host Colchester United on New Year’s Day before making the 262-mile trip to Carlisle United on a Tuesday night at the end of January (28th).

March could turn out to be a crucial period for the Club with the home fixtures against Sheffield United, Peterborough United, Gillingham and Wolves all taking place. Away fixtures in the month are also particularly strong, with visits to Swindon Town, Notts County and Stevenage.

Then, over the Easter weekend, the Dons will make trip up to newly promoted Port Vale on Saturday 19th April and for a second year running, the club welcome Brentford on Easter Monday to stadiummk.

Karl Robinson's men will finish the season at home to Leyton Orient on Saturday 3rd May with the final away fixture a week earlier on Saturday 26th April against Rotherham United.
