Tom Flanagan has been handed the captain’s armband for tonight’s friendly between a MK Dons XI and a Tottenham Hotspur XI.
Flanagan will start at centre-back tonight alongside Jon Otsemobor, who has missed most of pre-season with a knee injury, George Baldock at right-back and second-year scholar Brendan Galloway at left-back. Ian McLoughlin is given a start in goal.
Elsewhere, Dele Alli and Ben Reeves will be the Dons’ central-midfield pairing behind an attacking trio which contains trialist Zavon Hines, formerly of West Ham United and Bradford City, Will Summerfield and Under-16 star Giorgio Rasulo while Patrick Bamford is given the nod up front as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury sustained in Ireland.
Robinson has also named seven youth-team players on the bench, two of which are first-year scholars. The seven youngsters are Charlie Burns, Ben Grant, Kelvin Osei-Addo, Jon Osae, Kyran Wiltshire, Aaran Weston and Luke Tingey.
