Team News: Rayo Vallecano

24 July 2013

Karl Robinson names an unchanged starting XI for the visit of Rayo Vallecano this evening.

The Dons boss has picked the same team that started the friendly with Plymouth Argyle on Sunday, with Antony Kay deemed fit to play after hobbling off with an ankle injury in the first half.

The unchanged line-up also means David Martin will make his first start at stadiummk since February while Lee Hodson will make his home debut at right-back alongside Kay, Shaun Williams and captain Dean Lewington.

In front of them, Darren Potter and Stephen Gleeson continue as the Dons’ midfield pairing with Jason Banton, also making his home debut, Luke Chadwick and Daniel Powell in the attacking trio behind Alan Smith who is the lone striker.

On the bench, Robinson has Ian McLoughlin, Tom Flanagan, Ben Reeves, Izale McLeod, Dele Alli and George Baldock available as substitutes along with Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford who has been unavailable for selection since picking up an ankle knock in the first game of pre-season.

Dean Bowditch (groin) and Jon Otsemobor (knee) are ruled out through injury.

MK Dons (4-2-3-1): Martin; Hodson, Kay, Williams, Lewington (c); Potter, Gleeson; Banton, Chadwick, Powell; Smith.
