Northampton-based Dean Whitestone will take charge of MK Dons’ clash with Oldham Athletic this weekend.
Whitestone has been officiating in the Football League since 2003 and has refereed the Dons on five occasions with his first Dons appointment coming in March 2007, when he umpired a 4-0 defeat to Peterborough United.
In total, Whitestone has shown 20 yellow cards in games involving the men from MK1 and has sent off two players, including winger Daniel Powell in the 1-0 victory over Sheffield United last term. His last Dons match came earlier this season, in the match against Scunthorpe United, where he booked both Antony Kay and Alan Smith in the 3-0 win.
The Dons have been victorious the last two occasions Whitestone has been the referee.
Whitestone has officiated 26 games so far this campaign and has shown 86 yellow cards and 3 red cards. His last appointment came two weeks ago when he marshalled the match between Colchester United and Walsall at the Weston Homes Community Stadium. Whitestone only booked two players in that fixture.
