The MK Dons first team underwent a double training session on Tuesday as they look to return to winning ways against Oldham Athletic this weekend.
Manager Karl Robinson along with his backroom staff of Mick Harford, Ian Wright, Damien Doyle and Paul Heald put the players through their paces, both in the morning and afternoon, at a bitterly cold Woughton on the Green training ground ahead of their trip to Greater Manchester on Saturday.
After an intense warm-up courtesy of fitness coach Doyle, the team split up into two groups where they took part in short, sharp passing and finishing drills. After lunch, the team once again headed outside where they worked on their shape and positioning before having a small-sided game to wrap the day up.
Midfielder Luke Chadwick was a notable inclusion in at training, with the playmaker itching closer to a return to action after he suffered knee ligament damage prior to Christmas. Also taking part was winger Daniel Powell who has missed the past two weeks with a hamstring injury while defender Gary MacKenzie trained separately with Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton as he continues his rehabilitation from a knock picked up in the FA Cup win over QPR.
The players will have a rest and recovery session tomorrow and train as usual on Thursday before travelling to Oldham on Friday ahead of the League 1 clash with the Latics.
