MK Dons Ladies’ winning run came to an abrupt end on Wednesday evening, after a 5-0 defeat to Chesham United.
John Dyer’s side were without influential trio Emily Mann, Trip Witney and Heather McDonnell and the runaway League leaders took advantage as they raced into an early two-goal lead.
The Dons, who handed a debut to Sophie Barrett in the second half, were unable to cope with the host’s slick passing and they were punished further, conceded three more goals before the final whistle without reply.
The Ladies rarely threatened the United ‘keeper as they succumbed to their first League defeat since October 28th.
Their manager Dyer said after the game: “We have not become a bad side in three days. Tonight we have met a classy side who have set the standards for the whole league to stand and admire and that’s what we did for the first 30 minutes”
