Eddie Ilderton has been appointed match referee for MK Dons’ Sky Bet League 1 clash with Port Vale this weekend.
The Tyne & Wear based official has been refereeing in the Football League since 2002 and will take charge of the Dons for the seventh time this weekend.
In total, Ilderton has brandished 23 yellow cards in games involving the Dons, 15 of which were shown to Dons players, but he has yet to produce a red card. Ilderton has shown a card in every Dons fixture he has refereed.
So far this season, the 43-year-old has refereed 16 games including four Sky Bet League 1 clashes. Ilderton has been forced to book 31 players and send off three since the start of the campaign. All three of Ilderton’s dismissals – the first of which game in his first appointment of the season – have been for two bookable offences.
Ilderton’s most recently, was the man in the middle’ for Exeter City’s 3-2 victory over Accrington Stanley at Crown Ground. That afternoon, Ilderton showed just two yellow cards.
