Ref Watch: Crawley Town

24 December 2013

Sebastian Stockbridge has been named as the match referee for MK Dons’ Sky Bet League 1 clash at Crawley Town on Boxing Day.

The official, from Tyne & Wear, began his Football League career this season and has yet to take charge of a Dons game, but will be refereeing his fourth Sky Bet League 1 game when the two sides meet on Thursday at Broadfield Stadium.

So far, Stockbridge has handed out 47 yellow cards in all competitions this season- including a high of eight in a League 2 clash between Morecombe and Bristol Rovers. He has sent two players off in his 13 matches since the start of this year’s campaign and both of those have been straight red cards.

Most recently, he was the man in the middle for Oldham Athletic’s 4-1 defeat of Mansfield Town in the FA Cup with Budweiser second round replay where he dished out only two yellows, but showed John Dempster a red card for handball.

The full list of officials for Thursday are as follows:
Referee: Sebastian Stockbridge (Tyne & Wear)
Assistant Referees: Andrew Laver (Hampshire) and John Magill (Essex)
Fourth Official: Graham Horwood (Bedfordshire)
