Karl Robinson hands 17-year-old Dele Alli a start in his first side of the 2013/14 League 1 season.
Alli, who signed a three-year professional deal with the Football Club in the summer, will start in the middle of an attacking trio which also contains talisman Luke Chadwick and loanee Jason Banton, who will make his League debut for the Club this afternoon.
The young midfielder takes the place of Daniel Powell, who picked up an injury in training this week and misses the game completely along with fellow wide-man Dean Bowditch (groin).
Meanwhile, goalkeeper David Martin will make his first League appearance since February behind a defensive four of Lee Hodson, Antony Kay, Shaun Williams and Dean Lewington. Hodson, like Banton, is making his League debut for the Dons having signed on a free transfer last month.
Stephen Gleeson, Darren Potter and Alan Smith are the other three players that make up the first starting XI of the new season, the latter given the nod up front ahead of Izale McLeod and Patrick Bamford, who are on the bench.
Joining them amongst the substitutes is ‘keeper Ian McLoughlin, defender Tom Flanagan, new signing Ben Reeves and youngster George Baldock. Jon Otsemobor is also amongst the seven replacements as he continues his rehabilitation from a troublesome knee injury sustained in pre-season.
