Lee Hodson has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad ahead of their 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Russia next week.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neil named a 20-man squad for the World Cup Qualifier during the week but the Dons full-back has since been drafted into the squad.

Hodson, who completed a move from Watford to the Dons in the summer, already has nine caps to his name for his national side.

The Group F qualifier was due to take place in late March but was postponed due to heavy snow.

Hodson will link up with his international team-mates on Sunday, following the Dons’ Sky Bet League 1 fixture against Crewe. The match takes place on Wednesday 14th August; kick-off 7.45pm, at Windsor Park.
