Ref Watch: Swindon Town

8 April 2013

Mark Haywood will be the man in the middle for MK Dons’ Tuesday night clash with Swindon Town at stadiummk.

The West Yorkshire official has been refereeing in the Football League since 2006 and has taken charge of at least one Dons game in each of his seven seasons.

In total, Haywood has overseen eight matches involving the Dons, showing 19 yellow cards and just one red card. The solitary sending off came in the 2006 clash with Darlington, when Quakers defender Clark Keltie was given his marching orders after picking up two bookings.

Haywood’s last Dons appointment came earlier this season in the 4-1 victory over Bury at Gigg Lane. Dean Bowditch, hat-trick, and Luke Chadwick got the goals that afternoon with only Chadwick, himself, and Shakers midfielder Steven Schumacher going into the referee’s book.

This season, Haywood has officiated 31 games and has shown 91 yellow cards and 3 red cards. In his last outing, the Easter Monday fixture between Oldham Athletic and Colchester United, Haywood booked four players.

The list of officials for Tuesday is as follows:

Referee: Mark Haywood (West Yorkshire)
Assistant referees: Daniel Leach (Oxfordshire) and Marc Wilson (Cambridgeshire)
Darren Blunden (Kent)Fourth official:
