David Phillips will officiate this weekend’s game between MK Dons and Stevenage.
Phillips, 46, has been refereeing in the Football League since 2008 and has taken charge of seven games involving the Dons. During them matches, the West Sussex-based whistle-blower has brandished 19 yellow cards, nine to Dons players, and three red cards.
His most recent Dons appointment came last month when he took charge of the Dons’ 3-2 defeat to Shrewsbury Town at stadiummk. Phillips booked two Shrews players that evening while not showing a card to a single Dons player. Phillips, though, has sent off skipper Dean Lewington this season, in the 1-0 loss away at Swindon Town back in August.
This campaign, Phillips has marshalled 32 games, showing 114 yellow cards and eight red cards. In his last appointment, Saturday 13th April, he booked two players in Colchester United’s 1-1 draw at home to Walsall.
