Loan round-up

2 April 2013

Tom Flanagan played 90 minutes in Barnet’s 1-0 win over fellow League 2 strugglers AFC Wimbledon.

The centre-half, making his fifth appearance for Bees, played a crucial role in keeping a fourth-straight clean-sheet for Edgar Davids’ men, who took a step closer to avoiding relegation from the Football League after former Dons loanee Keanu Marsh-Brown’s late winner.

Next up for Flanagan and Barnet, who are undefeated in four, is a home clash against Chesterfield on Saturday, which will see the Hammersmith-born defender go up against former Dons team-mate Jay O’Shea.

Elsewhere, Gary MacKenzie helped Blackpool earn their first home win under the guidance of ex-Dons boss Paul Ince.

The former Rangers trainee and his Tangerine team-mates battled to a 1-0 victory over promotion contenders Crystal Palace, as they climbed into 15th in the Championship table.

MacKenzie and Blackpool will now be focused on picking up another three points they take on Nottingham Forest at the County Ground on Saturday.
