Under-16s to host Man City

18 September 2012

Supporters have the chance to watch the local stars of the future when MK Dons Under-16s take on Manchester City Under-16s at stadiummk on Monday 8th October, kick-off 7pm.

This will be the fourth time an Academy Challenge Match has taken place at stadiummk with thousands of supporters previously packing in to watch the future of Milton Keynes Dons football.

Previous youth sides that have taken on the much coveted Dons Academy set-up include Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool but this time it is the turn of the reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City.

This match will provide supporters with the chance to see not only potential new Dons starts but the talented youngsters that will be eager to impress Roberto Mancini in a couple of years time and become the next Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany or Joe Hart.

Despite the obvious challenge, Dan Micciche’s team will be hoping to pull off an upset in MK1 and with the likes of the exciting Georgio Rasulo and Ben Tilney, who earlier in the summer spent time with England U-16s, it is sure to be an exciting encounter.

Other names within the Dons side include Kabongo Tshimanga, Jacob Daffern and Kyran Whiltshere, who are all regular names in Mike Dove’s Under-18 side, and they will all be looking to make an impression on the big stage in front of a bumper crowd at stadiummk.

Tickets will go on sale from the Box Office at stadiummk and thecentre:mk on Friday and are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for under-16s and will be available right up until kick-off on 8th October.
